Art Biography
The inspiration for much of my artistic work comes from experiences from my home country of Kurdistan. For example, in my work I have explored Kurdish architecture, culture and national events. I have also focussed on some of the struggles Kurdish people have faced and continue to face, such as ethnic oppression, conflict and fighting for national identity.
My hope is to educate my international audiences about my country and the challenges it has faced. I do this through my art, my exhibitions and also through broadcasting Kurdish music on my radio programme in Yorkshire in the UK.
As a Fine Artist I enjoy working with different mediums. I am currently experimenting with print making and painting but have a specialist background as a Sculptor and Drawer. I enjoy combining different artistic skills and finding creative new ways to interlink them.
